took one of my reels apart to see if i could figure out why the button wasnt springing back out when i truned the handle.
turns out the black plastic part that applies pressure to the moving parts is badly cracked.
i have marked it on the pic attached.
does anyone no if these parts can be replaced......... if so can i get part myself or does it have to go back to abu????

That is a fairly common problem on all 6500 size reels, I would suggest that you buy a couple of them as it wont affect the postage costs and when it happens again you will have a spare available.
Would also suggest that you buy a spare pinion gear in case it goes back into gear during a cast - another common problem.

Even a bad days fishing is better than working.
