Highly recommend this rod lads for the scratchier stuff and the comps, for the money, its a steal. Had a 6.5kg huss on this rod last year with no problems. I have the 2.7m one.
Fluff chucking is the new black..... Rampant Wreckfish is a fly angler in denial :D

hi petekd,nice bit of gear,regards scratching I'm with the century tip tornado ultra lite great little rod for scratching,and lots of back bone
2009 species= whiting,flounder,dab,codling,bass,dogs,rockling,smooth hound,

I totally agree with you pete its a great rod for scratching, especially with the rules in the masters with smaller size limits it will help you pick up that extra one or two fish with the sensitive tips

After a chat with Petekd bought the 2.85m version and can honestly say I love this rod.

I've been using it for gilling for pollack and find the soft tip makes it ideal. perfect for scratching to.
Has loads of back bone for the bigger fish.
Sinking Fast.
