Comp 02/02/08 Ballybranigan 11am-4pm sponsor Henry's Tackle

#1 Post by petekd »

Lads, following some discussion and deliberation, the venue for the next competition on February 2nd is Ballybrannigan Beach as fished by SAI in September last year. Times are 11am to 4pm with check in at the beach car park from 9am to 10 am. Maps etc to follow. For those trying to judge distance and timing, its about 15-20 minutes from the Midleton roundabout at the top of the Dual Carriageway. We appreciate this an earlier check in than usual but we have to take tides etc into account. Fish to be caught during the daytime are mainly flats, flounder and Turbot with the possibility of Bass, Coalies etc also.

On a health and safety note, please familiarise yourself with what a weaver fish looks like and use extreme care should you have to handle one as they are quite common on this venue.

There will be a back up venue of The Slob Bank in Youghal should sea conditions dictate that we move venues.

I'll be there
