squid

#1 Post by eyesreilly »

Is there anywhere in Bray that i can buy boxes of squid? I'm from Clondalkin but I fish out that direction. I cant always get into the city centre (Dublin) to buy it. I got some in a tackle shop but besides being dearer I felt it was not as good as they sell in the oriental emporium in town , which are bigger and easier for me to work with.

Cheers  Thats my squid problem sorted hopefully. :) It seems to be working for me at the moment. My kids were getting it for me sometimes when they were in town. You know the story with teenagers, ,,,,,,,,no matter how much you give them ,you get no change, :? so the "cheap" squid works out dearer :!: . Thanks again.

Hi Jonny, from Clondalkin village , head down past the tower ,past the mill centre (on the lef)t. Keep going till you come to the next traffic lights . Turn right and keep going till you go straight through a roundabout. At the next set of lights turn left into Parkwest, up a hill and you should see Caterworld .

Hi,

there are two Chinese shops in Bray just left when you come out of the dart station in this small alleyway where the Fast-food Shop is.

They sold the same boxes of squid as they sell in tackle shops for just 2.50 Euro if they don't have them in the first shop then try the second a bit further down.

Hope that helps

Or get into the Chinese Emporium on Jervis street behind the Luas stop ( watch your wallets with the junkie market there ) and you can get a 5lb box of the same stuff for about 8.50 as far as I remember.

you can get 1lb boxes ( same as tackle shops ) for about 1.30 from the asian supermarket on the donegal pass in belfast jonny .
If someone shows you a mark to fish, respect it and dont pass it of as one of your own, dont tell every man and his dog about it.
