Bass are favourite fish to fish for so would love to meet up to do a bit over that time if your up for it. I had seen that fish were being caught there on this site late last year wasnt sure if they were still worth fishing for this is my first winter fishing. Have you fished there before?

I fished Tramore at the start of December and had a good days fishing. Got a 3lb codling on lug as well as flounder and lots of whiting. A local guy who was fishing next to us caught a big big (no scales) Bass on Rag worm-might be worth a try???

there should be plenty of cod around even though the upper part of the river will be out due to all the heavy rain of late.should be a few bass and cod on the beaches.

Barry is there a tackle shop in waterford that sells bait and what would you recommend to use as I will find it hard to get fresh lug or indeed what frozen bait i might bring from cork

john o brien is by far the best, but you would need to book the bait to make sure he has it...
