People:myself and big mick

Duration:1-5pm

Tide:high 4pm approx

Weather:clear, calm ,mild

Bait:sandeel, mackerel

Rigs: baited feathers, 3 hook flappers

Results:blank

Report:Had to get out of the house so went with big mick to greystones pier . He had to be back for 6pm so i was disappointed not to be staying into darkness  . All i got were tiny little bites which i missed. couldnt get any lug so sandeel and mack had to do. The mack wasnt touched , only the sandeel. 3 or 4 other anglers didnt catch either  . Weather conditions were perfect (maybe not for fishing though!). A guy arrived in a van (i've seen it there before!!) as we were leaving and i got the feeling that he knew something we didnt, like how and when to fish!! :? Thats our third blank in a row so we really need to catch. Any ideas? Dave

Was out there the other day, got some nice flounder up to 1.5lb on Mack, Squid and Mussel, conditions were the same and I fished a rising tide. I wouldn't put too much hope in baited feathers though, better to fish on the bottom at this time of year.
A bad day fishing is better than a good day at the office!

Youre right Roger, pic is from an earlier trip, no boats in the harbour and no flies on you
