People:Me

Duration:3pm till 6pm

Tide:10:48 (0.6) 17:05 (4.8)

Weather:Clear enough with strong S to SW

Bait:Wrap, freshish mack, and smal bit of squid and eel

Rigs:3 hook flappers with size 4 match hooks

Results:Many whiting some pin and some up to 27cms, pouting, poor cod, shore rockling, Dabs and a flounder. Most around the 20cm mark some under some over.

Report: Started catching straight away with wrap tipped with mackerel though on there own they bought caught but this gave the better whiting and trbles. Not tipping with mack kept the whiting at bay. towards high tide but on the ebb I caught gain until it went quiet when the tide ran hard so went home.

That was excellent fishing Donagh, a nice variety of species. Myself and Gearoid went for a quick scession to Kilteery last evening and had pretty bad results.

Not much chance of big fish here at this time in the inner estuary therefore the small hooks hoping for variety and it worked. Saying that I'm sure there should be good conger on the right tide still around on other Limerick marks and flounder would be an option in a creek but I don't have a good mark for them. I didn't have the time to get out further and the conditions would of been though anyways.

Very comfortable with the shelter of a car and hot cup of char. Some belting bites especially from the dabs petty there weren't more flats as I had headed out for as the whiting got there first. I was avoiding the whiting for that reason and the fact that they don't recover that well.
