About the Festival

The competition is run from the Grangewood Holiday Homes, Rosslare Strand as a species hunt over 4 days, weather permitting of course, with the boats split into 4 groups leaving the holiday park at 30 minute intervals returning 9 hours later. It is run as a go as you please event but with the fish rich grounds around the Saltee Islands most head straight for Kilmore Quay with its perfect slipway and sheltered harbour.


There are daily cash prizes for the top boats plus other prizes.
Then there are the overall cash and trophy prizes for the top boats plus many other prizes.

These prizes are kindly donated from various sources including, NAVMAN electronics, the Irish Tourist Board, Stenna Line, Sea Angler magazine, Tackle Shops, and many of the Anglers taking part in the festival.
PLUS WITH ALL ENTRY FEES RETURNED AS PRIZE MONEY THIS MAKES FOR A FANTASTIC COMPETITION AND PRESENTATION NIGHT

IN 2004 THERE WAS OVER 15 THOUSAND EURO'S IN THE PRIZE FUND
