Thats great whiting there I remember catching trebles of whiting nearly every cast at lots of big east coast comp's and not even the three lined up one after another would be the size of that one.

Just a word of advise to you guys I reported great whiting fishing a few years back on another site and i regretted it as the beachs in that area were swept clean I dont think there was even weed left on the beach after that week.

Its the famous trawler which used to come in close during the night where no one could see the reg etc.

Just be wide lads

Its v serious as your haveing great fishing up your way as the few years passed by on this site your tactics and knowelege have improoved dont let the dark side of the force blind your awareness of the great fishing you have there.

As there was a huge population of spur dogs in the eastury during the 70s and eighties and due to great reports they were wiped out in a flash.

May the force be with you......................

Nice fishing there guys, i was fishing off Courtown harbour during a big December swell a couple of years back we were catching plenty of whiting, i was reeling in what seemed like a very small whiting when bang the rod doubled over and a big cod came in with the aforementioned whiting in his mouth happy days!!
