People:me

Duration:9am-1pm

Tide:not sure

Weather:mild , breezy

Bait:mack,squid,sandeel

Rigs:3 hook flappers

Results:poor cod, whiting, pouting, pollock, coalie (none above 20cm)

Catch and Release:: yes (except for 4 whiting to try as pike bait)

Report:Hadint got a bit a of saltwater in me gills for a couple of months, didnt feel like travelin far so headed over to balscadden. The winter winds seemed to have blown some of the rubbish away!. was nice and quiet down there, 3 other chaps fishin. had a steady flow of fish coming in, good few species too , nothin big mind you. in total about 15-20 fish none above 20cm, one annoying thing was that its quite a drop to the water from the cliff top, any tiddlers caught dont take the drop to well and struggle on the surface just long enough to get picked up by a gull.most fish i returned got snapped up unfortuatley, 1r2 before they even hit the water. i was happy with 5 species in 4 hours. Might get a bit of rag and give split rock a bash this weekend.

Tip You can hang a small fish of your grip lead wire and put it back that way if you are above the water a bit... Well done on geting out..
