I wonder why the codling are so late this year...could it be the unusually warm weather we're having :?: :?:

At a guess i would say the warm weather, the heavy rain for most of the year and the fact that conditions haven't been rough enough to bring them in.
They would normally be in around the start of october, so it is fairly late for them to turn up in any numbers.

Took a couple of Codling around the 2lb mark in Youghal on the same day. They're there alright, but I've got to agree they're not in the same quantities as previous years.
