Weather:westerly, slight rain, clear sky, 4 seasons in one evening

Bait:mack squid lug sandeel

Rigs:various

Results:whiting, pollock, whiting, dogfish, whiting, mackerel, whiting, thornback ray... and did i mention whiting :lol:

Catch and Release:: Yes/No

Report:
due to weed on a local beach we decided to head out to the deeper waters off carraroe lighthouse..
all started well with doggies and whiting showing up, corbyeire got a nice sized pollock too..
nice to fish under a full moon too, apparently not the only thing to happen once a month.. :lol: :lol:
as bradan was leaving us for better pasture(chasing other types of doggies and using a smaller worm as bait, i bet all he gets is more crabs :twisted: :twisted: ) i pulled into what i though was a nice huss... ended up being a nice thornie instead.. that was me happy.. approx 5lbs too :D :D , a few more doggies and whiting later myself and corby called it a night.. someone had a party to go to... :)

good session had...

well nth clare - the lads will tell you i wasnt sounding too healthy :D

just mad to get out

i was drinking whiskey later that night on the pretence of it being good for my cold :roll:

was an enjoyable session - lots of species

a treble of 2 dogs and a whiting on a light rod was great craic - mind you i would have loved to catch that nice wrasse that was attacking everything for about 20mins - had him on 3 times but he kept getting off - size 1 was tried then 4s then 6s - then he just disappeard

in fact i had dropped 2 more dogs on the way in aswell - seemed the night for it

oh yea had first cast and the wind managed to rise my rig pack out of my bucket of tricks and land it in the water - then i couldnt reach it and had to watch 6 rigs take flight on the open water :x

fair play to steve he let me loose two more of his on top of that!!!

good session altogether
