East Cork beach 19/11/2007

#1 Post by Frans »

People: Me

Duration: 10:30 - 13:00

Tide: HT at about 12-ish

Weather: Showers, overcast

Bait: My own frozen salted lug, razor; squit

Rigs: 2 hook flappers; pulley

Results: Flounders

Report:
Arrived at the beach only to notice some trawler was very close in lifting it's gil-nets. I did make a picture, but the boat seems miles out in the picture.
Anyway, fished two rods. One at distance with full razor and the other close in lug tipped with squit.
I wasn't expecting much as it was quite bright, hardly any surf and high tide at noon. To my surprise I had one flounder after the other. All at nice size and close in. In total I had 12 flounders. I had a few light rattles on the rod at distance but nothing materialised.
