Klondyke and Highland Rock, Maidens Larne 04/11/07

#1 Post by trevt »

People: Me, My Mate George and Nephew Aaron

Duration: 11:30 - 15:30

Tide: Low @ 13:00 hours

Weather: Cloudy then sunny, low winds.

Bait: Squid and Rag

Rigs: 1 up and 1 down and single hook traces

Results: Ling, Codling, Pollack, Ballan Wrasse, Cuckcoo Wrasse, Whiting

Report: headed out for the afternoon and first hit the Klondyke. Difficult enough fishing having to do short drifts back and fourth over the rock, there is always a fair chop out there. Had Pollack, Codling and Ballan Wrasse. Our hearts sank when we spotted 2 Trawlers (french I think) working south of the Klondyke, not sure if they were pair trawling or not :-(. Whilst out we seen the boat called the Missy Moo (Lovely boat). Is this the same Missy Moo from Our forum? If so we were in the Seahog Commodore (Highland Dove).

Moved in towards the highland rock and got ling, cuckoo wrasse, ballan wrasse and small whiting.
