Duration: 7-11

Report: This was our last MA shore competition in the 2007 series.Seanie and JP were battling for top spot and Alby and Pete were fighting for the third and last MA spot. In the end, Seanie did enough to win teh comp and claim top spot for the series. Alby (who started the comp Lewis Hamilton style) did just enough to beat petekd by a couple of points and secure his place up North next year.

Fishing wasnt bad for such calm conditions. The lads on the high numbers, with the reef to deal with, had it much tougher than me in my own little clean zone!

Big thanks to jp for the bait.
I require a tremendous amount of calcium

Congrats to Sean both on his result on Saturday and for retaining his title once again despite a near trebling of the size of the club. Nice one mate. Had 3 dogs landed myself in the first hour, once the tide came up so I couldnt get a cast over the top of the reef I had an absolute nightmare losing 4/5 more fish to the rocks. A full spool of shockleader later and I resorted to trying to pick off a whiting and a coalie. 2 undersize whiting followed, 1 at 19.5 and that as they say was that, 4th place on the night beckoned and 4th place overall for the year. Needed a gap of 4 places between myself and Alby to take 3rd overall and it was not to be.

Congrats to Sean, JP and Alby on qualifying for a hard fought series this year, unlucky JP on getting pipped to the title at the last. Well done all who have appeared and competed up and down the country throughout the course of the year. For those who have struggled, do not be deterred, stick with it and it will come good. We had a great few sessions around the place and whilst the fishing on occasion may have been crap, mainly through lack of a breeze, the craic was always ninety and the company was always good. Roll on next year..... Looking forward to Dunree again already.....

Thought you had me goosed Pete, a 21cm whiting was the difference at the end of the day, I'll never curse those little sh1ts again :D

Myself & Boycie made a few ""detours" on the way home and had a few codling and a nice bass which topped the weekend off nicely. Also, big thanks to DD who looked after us rediculously well in Chez Domo

Hopefully we can retain the same guys next year and if we can get a few new members all the better!!

Best man won Alby, my form has been up and down this year on the shore scene I'm afraid and you deserved it, if only for being the only member to travel to and fish every comp, fair play again. Not to worry, I'm coming after you next year boyyyyy  :D

Yes Pete it's known as the lotto tactic, "if you're not in........."

Still, JP & Sean - fished 6 each and were in a league of their own, fantastic performance's
