Venues: Youghal Beach and one of the Garryvoe beaches I will not deceided on the other venue until prior to the competition. After that I deceide which venue falls on which day. At present we are thinking of splitting the under 16 and under 21 on one or two of the venues so to give better fishing.
Species around at that time will be cod, coalies and whiting been the top of the pecking order.

Crab ban
Donal
Why are crab banned, in the senior Master Angler there is no bait restriction and in the Senior Interprovinial there is no bait restriction,
i understand that when the youths are selected to represent Ireland that they will have to use just rag and mack and the venues around youhal are crab venues.
 David

Tom are you expecting the flounders to leave early this year because there is a crab ban, somebody better better tell the flounders then.Tom Maher wrote:Crab will not be too important as the flounder will mostly be out spawning, lug will be important.
It will be more important what part of Youghal is being fished and at what time.
