I've killed one phone while fishing and one while camping through damp.
I also got our digital camera quite smelly while using it to snap my fish at night much to my other halfs dismay.
The solution I've found is a water resistant mobile phone with a 2mp camera.
It's a Nokia 5500 sport and it really does the business.
The camera is pretty good and it's already proven it's worth on the first trip.
I was out fishing on the Shannon a few weeks back on the brothers boat, we did a day lure fishing for pike before the weather got too bad. ( one take, fish lost ).
I handed my jacket to my brother who was cold and said watch that there's a new mobile in the pocket.
A few minutes later my other brother pointed at the floor of the boat and asked if that was my phone sitting in 3 inches of bilge water.
Not a bother on the phone at all, still working fine, it sat in the water for at least a half hour.

That's it there, available with the yellow or silver trim, although I know O2 here only have it in silver.
Not traditional tackle I know but maybe others were looking for a waterproof camera/phone solution like I was.

I find the pad fine Jd, not had a problem at all.
It's just like any other keypad but the keys aren't split up if you like.
That 5140 is a totally different beast, I just had a look at it now.
This one doesn't really have seperate buttons like that one, it's just an embossed rubber sheet.

Aquapacs are another alternative. You can get sizes for phones, maps, keys, stuff, etc.

just get a waterproof camera case or waterproof camera
Waterproof camera:Pentax Optio W30 water proof 7.1mp 3X optical Zoom Digital Camera
Case:Oh, there are quite alot for different brands.
The camera can be a bit pricey but you can get alternatives, but this one is the job.
