People:Just me

Duration:12-13:30

Tide:full in

Weather:Nice

Bait:Flys

Results:1 mackeral

Catch and Release:: Yes

Report:Went to the nudist beach for the chance of mackeral or pollack and to try the rawl plug flys. Caught the mackie on a deciever water was crystal clear and could see a small shoal crashing into the fly, shook him off the hook. The rawl plug flys swam well in the water but didnt catch anything and most of them broke against the rocks behind me. Will be there tomorrow morning.

Also there was an older man down there watching me fishing and when I moved over towards the changing rooms asked could he have a go casting I let him have a go and he was able to put out a line about 10m further than me with a quarter of the effort only using his wrist. He made it look effortless. Very impressed.

Glad to hear you picked up something, never caught a mackerel on fly before but its another species on the list. Its not that I haven't tried its that they seem to be that bit further out and I can never get the distance. I was down at white rock this afternoon between 2-3 for a quick flick, didn't see anything moving but it was nice to get out. What time are you going down tomorrow morning at? If its not too late in the day I might pop down to say hello and have a quick cast or two.

best advice for catching species is girls dont like fishing and its hard to catch fish when you sell all your gear'

I was trying to word it in a way not to gross avoiding rods and flicking etc, my brother thought the same when I told him. Hey deno was gonna head down around half 10 high tides at 3. Got the mackeral quite close in only about 10m out. Didnt see much else apart from that.

Hi jack,

Going to head down at around 10 myself. I have to head Mayo in the afternoon so I'm not going to be able to say till high-tide. See you in the morning, unless is miserable but I dont think its going to be.
