Forgive me if there is a thread about this somewhere else, but I can't seem to find any.. :?
Just got some 'Flashing Lures' from Hong kong (via ebay!! ).
They're about 5-6" long, various colours - identical to a Bass plug except they're made out of transparent rubber with foil inside.
There is a tiny little battery-operated 'strobe-light', which once switched on, slides into the stomach of the lure through a tiny gap. This reflects the foil inside wonderfully, and lights up the whole fish. Looks like a size 4/0 hook embedded through the backbone, into a lead weight which is moulted into the head...
Just wondering has anyone ever tried these before and what the possibility of catching fish would be??
Its a very powerful LED and would attract fish (I'd say) for up to 1/4 mile at night... (whether they try eat it or not is another story :? )
Thanks.

hello,
i bought a couple of plugs from crabrock that have a red l.e.d. light inside that flashes when its in the water. i've had pollack follow them a few times but never any takes. i didnt find em any better or worse than some of the other lures i've got which also got followed but no takes. i'd say if i had stuck with em they would have gotten takes but i always switched to more productive lures. hope that helps,
dave
