People:myself and Dave 'handbrake' Hynes

Duration:22:00 - 01:20

Tide: spring low at 01:00

Weather:clear bright slight northerly breeze

Bait: mackerel

Rigs:various

Results: 4 flounder

Catch and Release:: Yes

Report:didnt realise the tides were in springs... ended up walking over 300yrds up the beach by the end of the session..

arrived at the mark and had a cast, pulled out a nice small flounder, as the tide was ebbing it hit the shallow part, as in every 5 minutes it was gone out about 10 yrds, so casting far was in order.. managed a double shot whick also included a nice flounder of 33cm (also fish no.500 for the year, the smaller one was fish no.501), then it was time to chase the water.. basically ended up chopping up a load of bait, putting it in a bag and using my spinning rod with a 3hook flapper.. 2nd last cast around lowtide saw a flounder within minutes of being dropped out..
as for 'handbrake'.. he was glad to just get out (just as well)

well pleased with reaching the 500 fish mark for the year, just need to get a couple of species extra and i'll be happy
