People: Me, petekd, Brunocork
Duration: 18:30 - 21:30
Tide: dropping from high about 18:00
Weather: cool, very calm, pretty clear, bright moon
Bait: frozen lug, razorfish, sandeel. mackerel
Rigs: various
Results: 1 coalie to Pete, 1 dropped flat to me
Catch and Release:: Yes
Report: Decided to give Cortaz's predictions a go and headed out earlier than normal to try catch some bass. Invited Bruno down and myself and pete had special dispensation from the wives.
I arrived to find it flat calm, bright and cool and with the tide dropping which is about as bad as it gets at that mark (at least there wasn't much problem with weed :roll: ).
Anyway, very quiet, Bruno had a bite, Pete got a wee coalie and I lost a flat close in to shore, I ran into the water, but couldn't find it :lol: so the honours go to Pete.
So very sorry to Bruno for dragging him down for a very poor evenings fishing, don't judge it on last nights efforts....
Think sea conditions down there dictate catches more than moon rises etc, but it would be interesting to see if catch rates improve down there when the conditions marry up with the moon

Lovely photo that to say it was taken with a camera phone. That beach just doesn't fish in calm conditions unfortunately, unless the sprat are in and you can pick up plenty on lures. Not to worry, next time. Don't let last night put you off Bruno, it can fish very well if conditions are right, fair play for coming down by the way.
Fluff chucking is the new black..... Rampant Wreckfish is a fly angler in denial
