Numerous marks, North Wexford, 23rd Septmber 2007

#1 Post by John D »

People: Me, Codswollop and Graham

Duration: 11:00 until 20:00

Tide: High approximately 19:00

Weather: Breezy, mild, dry and overcast.

Bait: Crab, rag, squid and mackerel.

Rigs: Sliding ledger with size 4/0 hook.

Results: 2 dogs and 1 wrasse between us.

Catch and Release:: Yes

Report: We were hoping to connect with at least 1 bass between us. The water was very brown. Does anyone think this may have effected our results?

Thanks,
John D.

Water colour has been a real problem in these marks all Summer. Significant signs of an improvement last weekend though, even given the neap tides. It was possible to find pockets of water with quite good visibility and fish were taking lures.

I had the wrasse by the way, not the dogs! I see John D failed to mention that!
