fellow-anglers,
can someone advise me on how to keep this stuff on the hook? I'm talking about the frozen "Ammo" peeler crabs. I've concluded attempting to put it on the hook in anything less than a fully thawed out state will result in it disintegrating before you've even tried to cast...
So I cut it, and used elastic thread, so it ends up looking a bit like one of those razor fish sausages that Bob Moss talks about.
Does it matter if you cut the crab in half, or quartered? Wouldn' that look unnatural?
All tips appreciated...

there velvets arnt they, never found them useful to be honest, theres definitley a niche in the market for quality frozen green shore crab. all you do is remove the legs cut almost in half and pull it apart so you get a longer streamlined bait. thread roughly through the hook and cotton it on so you get a sausage shape.
