Hi all,
I was just wondering if you could tell me what the best lines for making rigs are? These will be for general beach casting.
I have read about amnesia 20Lbs for snoods as it has no or low memory. And 50 - 60lbs for the main rig line.
What main rig line makes would you recommend and why?
Any other makes that are good for snoods?
If you are using 50 - 60lb main rig line what should your shockleader be? Or do you still use the 10lb for every oz of lead reguardless?
Thanks again in advance
Jonny

for my snoods i like to use 20lb amnesia, because its faultless and doesn't curl no matter how much friction is applied to it, for my rig body ive found the imax stuff to be good, but the penn range is better. for your shock use the 10lb for each ounce as you said, be sure to tie a strong knot. my favorite shock has to be greased weasel purely because it looks great on the reel, by the way your talking to a tackle tart

anything from 30-50lb...mayb 60 for boat rigs...generally 50 is a good bet... i use topic mde by a company called zebco..its 58lb and has the dia of 50lb...very soft line, lovely to knot...its hard to find...sakuma is the next best...50lb is superb...for scratching small species 30lb is the most you will need... and if fishing clear water try flurocarbon on your scratching rigs... but apart from clear water fishing its pointless because ity tangles very easily, you wouldnt want to whiting bash with it lol

same as above. I use 50-60lb main rig line. I usally use suffix or penn for main rig line. It works the best. snoods usually consist of amnesia. I actually hate fluorocarbon. I have used it a couple of times but dont think it makes much difference.
