Orlock Co.Down 12-9-07

#1 Post by nifisher »

People: Just Little old me

Duration: 50mins from 8.45pm

Tide: Low

Weather: Nice getting dark

Bait:

Rigs:3" Swimmin Pogy

Results: 3 Pollock

Catch and Release:: Yes

Report: Decided it was too good a night not to go out for a quick session. Headed down to Orlock coming up to dusk. Sea was almost Glass not even a breeze. I didnt check to see what state the tide was arrived down to find it close to low water. Thought it would be my first blank of the season. Put on the 3" Swimmin Pogy from Powerbait that I havent used before. Read on this site to reel them slow to keep them near the bottom. Suprise suprise after a few casts it was banged and I hooked into a Pollock of about 1.5lbs a few casts later another of about 1lb. Light was really begining to go so I decided to have a few last casts and somehow a 0.5Lbs Pollock managed to get the lure into its mouth. Turned into a great nights fishing.
