Antrim coast is good for fishing imo,we tend to try different places out, some spots can be hit and miss depending on what circumstances there are ie:weather, tide, etc etc.
ive been everywhere on the antrim coast and can point out a few good spots, you say youve fished portmuck, where exactly? ive fished both sides and they throw up some decent sized fish, the last time i fished portmuck,i fished from the rocks just over the harbour and got ourselves trapped by the tide (purposely),your actually fishing very deep water there as opposed to the harbour, the tide was a 3.5 that day and the water was knowhere near us so your safe.round the other side is good too (around the steps),throws up pollock, whiting, wrasse amongst other fish.
Ballylumford is just round the corner from browns bay if you keep driving, that place for me is a godsend, everytime ive been ive not been let down,i always come away from there happy.everyone on here seems to be fishing the south of ireland, cant think why cos the antrim coast is not as fished out as people think, youve just got to find the fish and have a bit of patience.
