People:me and tommy
Duration:4 hours
Tide:low, very low actually
Weather:cold and very windy
Bait:ragworm
Rigs:sliding float
Results:wrasse, pollock, pouting
Catch and Release:: Yes
Report:online weather forecast claimed 9mph westerly winds which i could have lived with, what we got was gale force winds in our face!! despite the weather being uncomfortable the fish were still there. started catching pollock at distance, nothing big, largest 25cm. then we fished in closer for the wrasse and they frustrated the life out of us!! lost count how many bites we had and lost!! but we did manage a few, again not large, biggest around 1 pound. then shoals of pouting moved in and the floats went mad, at times not having time to sit and they were going under!! of course these were just as frustrating if not more than the wrasse. so we lost more than we connected into. story of the day was plenty of bites but not enough hook ups. shame we couldn't stay for the rising tide but we started to turn blue with the cold!! always good to get out though. :)
