Hey all
Been a while. Ive dusted off the rod again for this year and after a few sucesfull attempts for mak past few weeks Im headed to a caravan south of ballywalter for the weekend. Got all the gear but have no clue of marks on the peninsula
Used the search function a bit. Drew you say the beaches are no good for fluonder? anything else off them?
Any decent rocks marks in the localish area?
any help appreciated.

hi muck, i'm afraid ballywalter isn't good fishing ground. you will have to either head to donaghadee, orlock or portaferry mate.

been using search function on all local marks to ballywalter.
Judging by results, the winner is Orlock!
Would love some of those codling or pollack. Would beachcasting setup with ragworm get them?
pennel rig etc
how far north from the laybay would you guys walk?

i'm sure beachcasting would be fine but isn't necessary as you can catch the fish close in. ragworm is definately the best bait here, maybe tip it off with some squid for the codling. basically fish anywhere from the top of the steps on.
