Report:
Quick spin after work to try and get my first bass this year, came good on my second cast. It took the jensen quite soon after the cast. At first I thought it might be a big pollack, but got the flash of silver and the thick lips when it broke the surface. First bass I've ever had spinning (had them beach casting and trolling before) so was quite exciting. Pressure has been on this year to catch one, so a few phonecalls made afterwards in my excitement- sorry Pete
Went home, filleted the bass, loosening my knife blade in the process. Like a f**kwit I tried to push the blade back in and slipped, slicing open my thumb. Patched it up, but wouldn't stop bleeding, so a trip to south Doc a couple of hours laters, where I got 8 stitches (and I didn't think it needed any
Anyway, going to have another crack off it tonight with a protective glove or might have to cast left handed- but if I get one tonight it'll be going back!
