Anyone got a diagram or pic of a flier rig that is easy to copy

dont have a pic but il describe it, swivel clip, 1ft of line,10z ball lead,1ft of line hook.

only 1ft of line :shock:

i use up to 10ft line... then lead.. 3ft line..then hook..

i suppose it depends on how you want the trace to move around in the suds..

what i meant to say was 1 meter, was spacial perception is poor, i suppose thats 3 foot or so, ten foot in my hands would lead to a tangle im not as good as steve :cry:

hardly tangles because the main line is kept high(ish)...

I usually have a swivel half way down and then connect the snood to that, the weight should fall down to the swivel anyway! Other people probably do it different though?

Yeah just use a snap Swivel and attach it to the line and slide it down!

Does the tide drag it out a bit in to the surf or do ya try slide it down yourself???

Look at this photo, it shows a slider that was designed buy a guy in Hawii, the trick with this one is that the tide will take it further out but the design wont let the tide push it back in....I know a few pier anglers in the US who swear by them.....

kk you just walk down to the waters edge after clipping it on and jig your rod a bit, this moves the flier down the main line, stop jigging when you reach to your desired location. this rig is great for comps because it allows you to fish a wide range of area for one cast, im now trying to master the split rig which would be a step in the right direction to increased catching success.

The first time I tried this, I didn't use a lead. Stuck on a lump of mack and caught a seagull :shock: .

Great fun tryin to unhook a gull havin a hissy fit who at the same time is being attacked by a skua tryin to get the mack from his mouth:oops:
