Report:

went out in the boat rhis morning to get some fresh mackeral for bait, 200 yards of ring they were very plentiful so we bagged up in no time. arrived at our mark at 1700 which was perfect with the tidal conditions. first casts were made and withing 15 mins we were into dogs, theis continued for about an hour and a half when dave got a better bite,he struck into the solid weight of a better fish. a few minutes later we had a nice huss of 9.5lbs on the shore, a new pb for him.funnily fishing quitened down after this but with fine weather and a new pb you cant complain.
