Anyfish Anywhere surf rod?

At the suggestion of various members and given the magazines will run a mile from criticising a piece of kit, here is your chance to tell us what you really think about a rod, reel, line, lure... keep it legal please!

Anyfish Anywhere surf rod?

#1 Post by Donagh »

I know theres been a review of this already but I want to see is there any further reviews or information on this rod. I'm thinking of getting one for the surf beachs of North kerry and clare for bass and flounder as well as scratching on estuary marks like kilteery or littor. Any thoughts or better rcommendations?

hey there donagh I have got one of these myself. I have to admit I love it.

I actually use it for most of my fishin tbh. It has handled double dogs and it got me a very cheeky bass on sunday. I find it very responsive when playing any fish. I have only had a couple of flounders on it and it shows up like an attack from mars.
The most I like about it is that it is well balanced and can be held for any given length of time with out breaking your arms.

Its weighted for 3-5oz. I have only had this about 3-4 months and I find a 4oz with a 2 or 3 hook rig is spot on for the rod.

I was weighing up wether going for a conoflex foofighter, flattiefanatic, etc but there blank felt very bouncy were as this rod seemed pretty solid thru.

sorry for rambling on and hope it makes sense

Just to update you on the rod and talking to the fella at anyfish. He was telling me that a 42lb tope was landed on one. lol

He was also telling me that this is the rod that jullian uses on the match seen, i found the 525 and penn surfmaster to heavy for it. I like using the elite 6500 and shimano 5000. You will definitely not be disappointed with this bad boy.
