Report: When i saw the forecast for the rest of the week I took today off to try to make the best of it. Had a mini-session the night before with some rancid squid and a pack of sandeels and got a huss of about 5lb so turned up today expecting great things, but it turned out to be really hard work.

6 of the tope pups were all caught within an half an hour - I was catching them on a pennel rigged whole sandeel and bringing them in 2 at a time on a flapper rig baited with ragworm. Then as soon as they started they stopped again. The other fish were just coming in drips and drabs all day and everything was small (biggest fish was the cod - probably about 1.5lb)

No dogfish and the same the previous night... Not sure if I'm happy about this or not!
