North Wexford rock mark

#1 Post by davybrown99 »

People: me

Duration:4hrs

Tide: 2 flooding 2 ebb

Weather:Windy, dry, wet, sunny, cloudy.

Bait:rag and lug

Rigs:2 hook bomber, 2 hook pat

Results: weever  , red gurnard, 3 starry smoothies, flounder, dogs, dogs, do......

C&R Yes except for flounder. (v. deeply hooked).

Tried same spot as last week to see if this is a genuine good spot. Mixed feelings on session as i had good fish but lost 1 good smoothie to the rocks, 1 to a broken snood  , and dropped 2 smaller on retrieve. Also saw my new rod jump up and over the tripod and about 10 ft along the rocks before i caught up. Don't turn your backs on your rods when smoothies are about. Pics to follow.
Cheers dave

Sorry pics are camera phone so not good quality.
