up until about 2 weeks ago i would have said yes, but after loosing fish because of it i now i say no

see what happens with the braid is , if its under any pressure it cuts in to itselt and it does this in the part of the knot that has the twist in it,

im also looking for an alternative but ive gone back to ordinary leader knot

Hi,

Had similar problems with braid. Best I've found so far is a grinner to grinner, 3 or four turn in the mono and six to eight turns in the braid. It's a bit bulky though

Hi,

I have used the knot on Neil Mackellow's site. He's recommending an alright knot with the braid doubled over. Both myself and my buddy both have had problems with this knot. The braid seems to cut into loop of mono on the finsihed knot, really don't like it, not this one!!!
