collecting and keeping bait

due to the interest in fishing by the 6yo daughter sorta decided it would be a good idea to take her out bait collecting ..

any tips on what to do and look for and how to keep it when we get it????

especially in the carrickfergus area bearing in mind my previous experiance is going to the tackle shop on a sat after work!!!!!!!!!

anything that can be gathered really might as well expand on the whole fishing thing and use it as a bit of an educational thing without her knowing :P


although i like just nipping down to the tackle shop theirs not much she gonna learn from me that way apart from how to spend money !!!!!!!!!!

went out tonight down at beach at kilroot found plenty of lugwarms but only rag were wee tiny miniture things

where was i going wrong any tips??
