you are near enough to kells bay, Rossbeigh (had a good run of bass a couple of weeks ago i heard) a bit further out would be waterville beach which is supposed to be good for bass.
and derrynane beach near Caherdaniel would all be within a 1hr drive from you.
there is also a beach called the white strand at the other side of the peninsula just beyond castlecove that faces straight out to the atlantic.
Stick to rossbeigh and kells bay if you don't want to travel far heard good things about waterville beach over the years
there is a guy doing salt water fish guiding in waterville as far as I know. I forget what his name is.
at the moment conitions are pretty good for surf Fishing with all the high winds the surf must be pretty good.
there are a couple of charter boats running out of valentia as well afaik

contact Mel smith on the island he knows all the marks and sells bait. his card that i have is 6 years old and i suspect not the current number. the island is small and no doubt a night in the pub will get you his location. try the black hole, caught my best shore caught Pollock there 12lbs plus! on float fished sand-eel.

Kev sells fresh and frozen. though a call giving him plenty of time will be a good move. Sharkies tackle had fresh peelers and lug this week as well.
