Sea trout has been caught from Cushendall beach by a few anglers I know. The unfortunate thing is, as they don't hold a game licence so the fish are all returned to fight another day. 8)

Glengormley Gavin had a sea trout off this beach not long ago but it's a fish that is caught by accident, they are not there in numbers to make it worth targeting.

sea trout antrim coast

#8 Post by jpmac »

I got one spinning from Redbay pier a few weeks ago! If you have a licience why not get a day permit and try the rivers genariff, dall, dun themselves dawn and dusk/night best...I always had more success catching seatrout up those parts from those rivers than I ever did in the sea. Some big seatrout in those rivers +5lb you may be surprised... never caught or seen any caught of that size from sea.

Man, that is one beautiful beautiful fish! I'll pay any money to catch one of those... You're lucky man, .. where did you say I should go with a spare fresh mackerel?
