Dawia 7HT service kit?

#1 Post by Danny M. »

Morning,

Is it possible to buy a sevice kit for the Dawia 7HT?

I.e. little spanner, original oil and end caps(mine are a bit worn).

Cheers,
Danny.

A pliers will open the nut on the handle side and i'm sure you can get a flat head and star screwdriver handy enough to take the end plates off . . .also for oil you can use the TG Rocket Fuel : Yellow or Red or do you specifically want the kit that came with the reel . . ??

For servicing the above would do just fine, it works for me.

Yeah at the moment I am using a size 10 spanner, flat head gp grease, and original oil which is now empty!

Is there much difference between TG Rocket and original?

I find a pliers and a couple of screwdrivers much less fiddly than the "yolk" Daiwa give you.

Also, (and I stand to be corrected) TG Rocket Fuel is the most popular reel bearing oil that I know of.
Red = Slow
Yellow = Fast

You won't go wrong with it.

I use both on all my reels from 7HT, Mags & Slosh's . . . works great, just maybe 2 drops in each bearling is plenty . . .

You can order it in Veals or any tackle shop would probably have it over here to I guess.
