Ray Marks in the North West?

#1 Post by Greywulff »

Hi all,

Anybody know of a good ray mark between Aughris Head and Mullaghmore. Would like to catch them from my kayak so within 1/2 mile of shore would be perfect.

Cheers,

David (Greywulff)

The entrance to Ballysodare Bay, on the Aughruis Head side. There is a long spit that runs out to the sea and creates a deep pool at the point, tope too apparently... never fished it burt regular reports of big fish...
one thing to be careful of would be the current outside HW or LW....

FWIW...

Time spent fishing is never time wasted...

2015 targets - a triggerfish, a specimen bass, a three bearded rockling to complete the set and something big and toothy from certain north Mayo deep water marks
