Butt Cap

#1 Post by coaster »

Hello all.
I am just about to do a spot of work on a rod and want to remove the butt cap. Its pretty solid on there and I don't want to force it.
Any tips?

I try-ed hot water and gentle persuasion but brute force and ignorance won.

Yes I do :)
No damage. I got a spoon and worker the handle end into the but cap and slowly worked my way around. It was not going to fall off. Held in place with some sort of epoxy.
