People: me

Duration: 15:00 - 21:30

Tide: high at 18:30

Weather: overcast, sse wind

Bait: frozen sandeel, mack

Rigs: pulleys, legered 60lb trace, baited feathers

Results: nada

Catch and Release:: -

Report: for what its worth - went to new quay - wanted to try the far side from the pier on the channel - drove to that point where i saw a chap get a ray last year - wind gusting straight in my face - knew i would never get the cast there

so back in the car around to the pier side - fished from the point to north of the little beach into the channel

had full mack + half mack out there - strips on the second rod - and sandeels on the pulley - with nothing touching the baits not even crabs - moved onto the baited feathers

the terns were having a mad one on the top of the tide - but it obviosuly wasnt any mack they were getting

was listening to the utd match in inchicore on the radio - kept me going - used the last of the bait - the first drops of rain fell - the final whistle blew - 2-1 sweet! and i had enough and packed up

the head in the mobile home there - was asking me how i was doing etc.

said they were getting dogs pollack etc. - but didnt know about ray

these blanks are beggining to mount up
