People:me

Duration:1500-1800

Tide:hw 1715

Weather:very strong sw force 5/6

Bait:fresh mackeral

Rigs:pulleys

Results:3 bearded rockling about a pound in weight

Catch and Release:: Yes

Report:

not really much to report. tried the mark pete gave me directions to in the hope it would be in the lee of the wind. not certain if this is the specific mark as it was pretty rough but seems interesting enough. had a couple of serious knocks, one of which nearly pulled the rod off the rest, thought the looked like dogs but seemed very agressive. had the rockling which was a new pb and my first of the year on half a mack fillet on a 3/0 pennel rig, greedy little feckers.this mark has potential as a winter mark for codling....more research needed methinks.

Wrong spot then so mate as the one i fish is fishing onto sand. Let me know when your heading again and we'll team up. Well done on the 3 bearded by the way.

was thinking that alrite pete, although i think this mark has a good bit of potential, had 1 bite which looked similar to a huss but was fishing 20lb and no rotton bottom at the time. might try their on fri if work and weather permits, although i am also tempted to try "my" ray mark as well as the tides are quite good and i can get fresh mack friday, ure welcome if you wish..

wrice....
ive a few marks like that as well, i usually fish a 15 pound rotton bottom and sacrifice my leads. as you said worth it if you get a good fish..
