People:me and alby

Duration:8 till 11

Tide:full then ebbing

Weather:lovely

Bait:bread and flies

Rigs:none

Results:no

Catch and Release:: n/a

Report:ok so i have never been mullet fishing and alby had seen plenty of fish in the river this morning so rather than go doggie fishing we went for the light line option unfortunatly even though mr brenan supplied quality bait and ground bait the fish never showed so we headed up steam a bit and i set up my new fly rod :shock: (26 yoyos in lidle) a top quality bit of kit :D i managed to get the fly over several trout and missed one cracking take but alas didnt hook up once :cry: . as dusk fell a commando raid commenced on the local power staition hot water outfall with bread tossed out and floats hitting the water but unfortunatly no mullet only a few sea trout showing off with some nice aerial acrobatics now even though no fish were caught it made a nice change from 60 lb shockleaders and gale force winds ,thanks alby (i,ll be back !!!)
