Engine Lock

#1 Post by trevt »

Folks,

I need an engine lock for my suzuki DT55 (insurance requires I have an engine lock). The standard lock made by Fulton is not wide enough.

Any suggestions?

Cheers,
Trev

Don't mean to be funny but change your insurer.

Several don't have that stipulation & if your covering £15k's worth of boat and have £3,000,000 liabilty and your paying more than £150 sterling your being had.

Locking the engines no bad thing but knicking 55hp bolted on a transom isn't something you see much off.... unless your being careless about where shes kept if trailered.

Trev,
Haven't had a chance to do a search, but why not use a bolt type lock? We have one fitted to one bolt on the transom. I'm sure if you check some of the chandlery sites you'll spot one.
