Limerick Point & Cushendall Beach. Co Antrim 06 May

#1 Post by glengormley-gavin »

People:Me, spgavin & Conor C

Duration: 09.30 - 15.00

Tide: HT 13.30ish

Weather: Strong W/SW, squally showers after 14.30

Bait:Rag, mussel, prawn, squid & mack

Rigs: 2/3 hook flappers, 2 hook booms and pulleys

Results: :oops: Me = Blank :oops: Sean - 1 doggie, :oops: Conor C = Blank :oops:

Catch and Release:: Yes

Report:
Started on the rocks at Limerick Point, as usual the expectation levels were high but after 10 casts, one missed bite, one lost rig (favourite one too!!!) and 30 mins with lures, Conor and I deceided to join sean round on the beach.

Sean already had a nice dog off the rocks but the tide was pushing behind him so he decided to move....

The beach produced zero fish for all of us.

I took the opportunity to have some fun with the new Zzipy and practice some casting - all that I will say about the Zzipy is - UN-FECKING-BELIEVABLE. I was beating my previous pendulum casts with an overhead lob with ease.........

First blank of the year BTW.....
