West Cork Rock Mark

#1 Post by pete »

People:Me and mate Al

Duration:6pm to 8pm

Tide:High water bout 6pm

Weather:Balmy

Bait:Lures

Rigs:Lures

Results: 5 bass (1/2lb to 3lb)
1 bass for Al

Catch and Release:: Yes all released

Report:Never seen so many bass in my life, water seemed to be alive at times. Counted, and I'm being conservative, maybe 40 odd. One or two larger fish but they were mostly around the 2lb mark. Still I'm not complaining as the sport was good, landed five but must have got hit at least 8 other times. Alan got a couple of hits on the fly too but unfortunately they bounced off.

All fish came to sub-surface lures, tried the popper for awhile but it got ignored :( . Great to see an abundance of bass after a poor winter. Will send a pic to one of mods to put up.

Those days do happen sometimes and its the memories that keep you going when the fish aren't so plentiful! Nice one man

Great fishing Pete! What lures and which colours did you get them on?

It was a real privilege to see so many. Abu toby rocket Inigo, green/silver was the most successful...wound back as fast I could.
