Report: i pretty much caught the dogs all thru the session, while john arrived at around 11:30 and soon after proceeded to catch a very lively monster ray...not the best seesion foe me and i lost 3 traces to boot, 2 with fish on,one of those felt a good ray... loads of fish here but it can be trouble getting them in...i didnt fish my usual spot and opted for the rougher ground in search of a few good ray after a few recent good reports, not my best idea!!! other than that spotted a large salmon jumping 10 yards from the shore....and as the father collected me after the session he said he saw loads of "silver fish" jumping bout 50 yards out, hardly mackerel this early??????

I couldn't make it out Sunday either as now the wife has the bug  . Thats sounds like a fine ray John had send on a picture if yopu have one.
I always add squid here as it really seems to get the ray. I don't seem to get many dogs here even when I use lighter 30lb traces compare with others. It would be nice to know for comps.
The silver fish seen could also of been gars. I must start putting flyers on my mainline to try and snag a few.
