6500 spool release problem

#1 Post by MAC »

Hi all,

I have a 6500 premium. I am having serious trouble with the spool release. It goes into free spool no problem, but won't click back. When I turn the handle the release is not getting pushed back far enough...... Any thoughts :?:

Cheers,

Kev

Cheers for the link Pete.... Will sort that out this evening.

One of the blocks was a wee bit too small Paddy. I just put the one brake block in. Seems to be ok.

mine went like that too fixed it twice in last three years this time i applied some greese to the push button inside the reel where it touches the reel body after a good clean as it picks up a lot of salt/gunk and the button is like new wonder if the abu have fixed this on the new models :?:
