just reading a few threads here some people are getting exited about a sniff of mackerel which i could understand if u hadnt been fishin for months what do you do in the winter ,do your wives not get fed up with ya ? as a shore angler who enjoys a few charters a year and the odd trip out of bullock can u tell me if my mates new boat with 100hp engine is going to put me off shore fishing or will it just enhance the whole experience and make me more fishing mad ?also can i afford a second devorce :?: :D :D :D( p.s off shore fishing not a punn)

Well rodger im a boat angler through & through and fish from your neck of the woods a lot (bray)

in the winter i do the usual

cod in cork
flounder in wexford in the winter,

but the talk of the mackeral just kicks off the season for us , its the sign of the good weather and better fishing as you will have the preditors chasing them
